ten questions

I love being tagged by bloggers to join in those question games where you share tidbits about yourself and then get to read up about other bloggers. I have discovered blogs I have never previously read by these tag games. Last week I was tagged by Lisa Jay to answer these ten questions. Too bad I am shy when it comes to sharing things about myself. But I'll do my best. Ahem.

Describe yourself in 7 words: dreamer, do-er, motivated, active, loyal, family-oriented, positive.

What keeps you up at night? Not much. I sleep very well. But if I can recall a time I have been kept up at night it would be by ideas that swirl in my head and won’t let me rest, or anxiety. Not a frequent occurrence these days though.

Who would you like to be?  Me.

What are you wearing right now? Shorts and a singlet, my summer uniform!

What scares you? Fear. I have been working on anxiety levels for many years now and although I have it somewhat settled I used to be very fearful of a lot of things. I am a worrier by nature, but I am working on it. I have definitely learned to let go of the small stuff and have learned to not sweat it. If I can’t change it and it doesn’t really impact on my life, I let it go.

I am also petrified of flying cockroaches (thanks for the reminder Lisa) and moths.

What are the best and worst things about blogging?
Best: The best thing about blogging is the community. I have been nicely surprised by the camaraderie among the Aussie (and beyond) blogging community. It’s lovely to have like-minded people who I don’t know comment and give me feedback on things I have written. The friendships I have formed have resonated outside of blogging into other social media forums, I love the banter and the giggles I get out of complete strangers that I have formed friendships with online. I also love to see creative souls at work and there is some serious inspiration around!
Worst: trolls. Fortunately I am yet to experience an 'anon' troll firsthand but they are lurking and it peeves me when I see the negative comments on blogs I like.
What was the last website you visited? Thelettuceshop.com.au. They deliver market fresh produce right to my door. *love*

What is one thing you would like to change about yourself? I am on a lifelong personal quest of self-development. I don’t pinpoint specific bad points about myself rather I want to be the best version of me. I have changed a lot about myself in past years – my impatience, intolerance, judgemental thoughts, I’ve learned to relax more and work less – however I am forever growing. If I can think of something specific I would like to change about myself it would have to be to stop saying ‘should’ and instead say ‘could’. I'd also love to care less about other people's problems that they themselves make no effort to change.

Slankets – yes or no? Definitely no.

Tell us something about the person who tagged you? Lisa takes the most beautiful photos, I am always inspired by her world through her lens. Not only does she see light and love in the simplest of moments she can work a photo to draw out all its beauty. I love her images, I see a picture of her daughter eating watermelon and it makes ME want to eat watermelon. I love that she is enjoying every moment.

The fun part continues! Now I get to tag five awesome bloggers so they in turn can share ten things about themselves. I tag:

Edenland - sorry Eden, I just want to know what makes you tick and I am curious as to how you will word this one!
A baby called Max - Cherie will have something funny to share, no doubt about it.
Uber Simplicity - loving finding out more about Leanne lately.
Jagger Files - Jayne and beautiful little Sophie, what's not to love!
a life less frantic - my fellow Perthite Kelly always inspires me.

    1. Self-love gets easies if you apply in small ways every day, and sometimes I find it can even be a thought or acknowledgement rather than an action. That works too. :)

I look forward to reading your answers Chez. xo

    1. A slanket is a blanket with sleeves, something like a snuggie. A big no from me! haha

  7. My favourite answer was to the question "who would you like to be" - as always you are so right. We should be (or aim to be) happy with ourselves - you are fast becoming the guru on self love, Pegs - always inspiring xo

  8. Thank you Teresa, as always I am touched by your kind words. I almost put I would like to be my Mum but then I realised that'd be impossible to achieve. So I realised I would like to be me but 'more like' my Mum, that's more realistic. :) xo

  9. It's always great to learn something new about a blogger I like, Peggy. I think being a 'dreamer and a do-er' must be the most fabulous combination! Unfortunately I tend to fall more into the dreamer category. x

    1. Aww I am a blogger you like Bron? Bless! I was actually thinking how much these two (dreamer and do-er) are a contradiction as I was writing this, but in reality I dream a lot and I do a lot. I may fall more into the dreamer category too. xo

    1. Oh a crochet nanna rug is way too cool! I think the snuggie sleeves would drive me nuts! A good old fashioned blanket and wooly socks is the only way. :)

  11. One of my favourite answers is what are you wearing - tad dodgy I know, but bear with me- to know you are in summer togs is helping me warm up - there is snow outside, the heating is being temperamental, I am in thermals plus many layers, cuddled up next to 2, if I'm honest, rather smelly dogs (is it bad that I so don't care!), laptop keeps shutting down because it is overheating on my legs - pah it's not even lukewarm as far as I'm concerned - IT is rubbish. Anyhow you are an inspiration Peggy - I am so glad to have found you,to be part of your communnity beyond Oz and to share you with my community - those thoughts more than anything are keeping me warm right now!.
