January Photo a Day Challenge

I am a bit partial to taking photos. Ok I am a pathological photo taker! My friends have commented on how obsessed I am with taking photos, I just can't help it. I loved photos as a kid, I have boxes and boxes (and boxes) of them. Recently I have discovered Instagram. I love that I can document any part of the day, be it as mundane as ever, and create something lovely just using iPhone apps. I have a folder full of various apps and can tweak one image in 3-4 different apps. I don't declare to be a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but I sure do love photos.

Chantelle of Fat Mum Slim put together a photo challenge in January. I was still on holidays when it started so loved the idea of photographing a subject each day and had fun being creative with it. I used my iPhone for all photos bar one (I took a screen shot of a photo I took with my Canon of my niece for day seven). Here are my shots for the Jan Photo a Day Challenge. I also created a tag in Instagram if you would rather see them in their original feed. You can view that here.

Fat Mum Slim has a new challenge up for February. I thoroughly enjoyed the first challenge and although I am a bit time poor now that I am back at work plus with my additional writing work, I will join in again another month. I recommend if you enjoy the art of photo taking that you jump in and give it a shot. It's a lot of fun seeing what others create too!

  8. Oh Peggy, those photos came together soooo well!
I'm thinking I need to jump on the band wagon. Looks great, and such a great way to easily photograph a week/month/year with not too much effort.
Loving the torn, pink crocs BTW xxx

    1. Thanks Fi, you so should join in! I looked forward to seeing what the subject was for the following day and then enjoyed thinking what I would photograph. Lots of fun!

The crocs are no more, my dog was running wild with one in his mouth the other night and when I went out to have a look the one with the hole in it had lost the entire top! The dog was running around with just the sole in his mouth! haha Will have to get new ones, pink of course. xo

    1. Thank you Anna. I like camera+ and snapseed to change the filter and contrast etc, I use Phonto for the text, and PicFrame for the pictures where I have a few different frames in the one shot. They're all a lot of fun and great for changing a simple picture into something a little more creative. :)
