Edenland's Meme

Edenland. Horses. Writing. Meme? I’m in! I have to say with little love hearts shooting gushingly out of my eyeballs, that Eden was my first (and only Eden, and only) blog crush. The minute I laid eyes on her words I was in love. This girl can write from the heart, is there any other way?

So how excited was I to discover she has started her very own meme over at Edenland. Last night when I read about it I was intently curious. Intently. Serious crush material I tell ya. Don’t judge.

So here’s the deal. Write something, anything, in your own handwriting and you get to be present on Eden’s blog bringing on the fresh horses. Blogging history right there folks. And for a stalker fan like me that’s a big deal.

I wrote something in my diary, as I do every other day. Currently trying to inspire myself to stop being scared to take the plunge into the freelance writing world isn’t as hard as I thought, but there is underlying fear. Here are my messily scrawled words (my hand struggles to keep up with my head) of encouragement to myself.

In this typed up written world that is the internet I am loving checking out all the lovely handwriting. Head on over and check it out for yourself. Why not add your touch to Edenland. Blogging history folks! Neigh indeed.

    1. Thanks Jen. :) Balancing out my self-doubt of the past few days (which now I realise is due to the cold I woke up with yesterday). xo

  3. Peggy, at the risk of sounding like a weirdo, I'm going to print out your handwriting. I love how you've deconstructed that phrase and analysed it.
I have to analyse jargon at work but this is SO much better!
Thanks for sharing your wisdom :)

    1. Wow, what work do you do Laura? I love to read between the lines and pick phrases or statements apart with what first comes to mind. Print away, I'm flattered! :)

  4. Isn't it wonderful when you break down a gorgeous reminder like that into its parts!? Each word by itself is so powerful but they almost get lost in the meaning of the statement.

Have you ever studied literature? I spent many hours reading sentences over and over deconstructing the messages and meaning.

    1. No I haven't studied literature Kate, I wish I paid more attention at school as I would have loved english lit! I love deconstructing meanings of sentences. The words of this particular statement stand out more than the statement itself I think, but you're right, it's too easy to read the statement without getting into each word.

  5. "If we aren't happening, we aren't anything." WOW.

Peg, I've been with my boys all day and just logged on - BLOODY HELL! And look at your writing. It's just beautiful .. some people's are amazing! How refreshing is it to see real old-fashioned writing again. So so cool.

    Love this. Thank you.

    1. Thank you Eden, love that you dropped in. The response to your meme is great, not surprisingly. Well done on the idea, I knew you would whip up something fabulous!

It's weird but I am kinda speechless. Eden. On my blog. Commenting. And you said 'WOW'! :)))

You're very welcome, I am the one that should be saying thank you. xox

  6. I love your writing - handwritten or not.
I can really relate to the mind moving faster than the hand. I'll re-read writing and realise I've missed words and chunks!

    1. Thank you Shar. I used to love writing (by hand) but with the age of the laptop I barely do it anymore. I also leave out words when I am typing fast, hands can't keep up with brain! :)

  7. I love your self-talk, Peggy. So important to talk kindly and positively to ourselves. I love "If we aren't happening we aren't anything"! And lastly I love how much character your writing has!

    1. Thank you Deb. I used to engage in negative self-talk once upon a time, but it isn't welcome around these parts anymore. :)

Thanks for dropping in and leaving me a note. xo

    1. Thank you Jess! I used to try and write so neatly as a kid, and it always wound up messy and scrawly. Now I kinda like it like that, I guess it is a bit indicative of my nature (messy and scrawly? lol).

Thanks for dropping by Jess. :) xo

    1. Thank you Veronica. I rarely actually write these days (with all the typing) but I do write in my planner, so it was the first place I went to find something handwritten!
