Why I love Saturdays.

This is a typical week day for me. It doesn’t make for interesting reading, you have been warned.

To be read at slow speed;
Wake up to alarm at ridiculous hour.
Roll out of bed, brush teeth.
Walk to Nespresso machine, make coffee and toast.
Turn on computer, log into blogspot and read blogs. Smile.
To be read at increased speed:
Shower, apply make up, style hair, iron clothes, wake up kid, make breakfast for kid, make lunch for kid, make lunch for me, fill dog’s water bowl, pat dog, say goodybye to dog, check iron is turned off. 3 times. Pack bag, pack kid’s bag, head out the door. Run back in one last time to check iron.
To be read at a steady speed:
Work all day. Home at 6pm.
Cook dinner.
Spend time with my boys. Smile.
Read blogs. Smile.
Spend more time with my boys. Smile.
Clean kitchen, brush teeth, bed.

A typical Saturday. To be read at a super slow speed:
Wake up whenever.
Roll out of bed, brush teeth.
Walk to Nespresso machine, make coffee and toast.
Turn on computer, log into blogspot and read blogs. Smile.
Sit at computer until whenever. In pyjamas.
Move to the lounge. In pyjamas.
Make shopping list. In pyjamas.
Make more coffee. In pyjamas.
Sort laundry. In pyjamas.
Make more coffee. In pyjamas.
Shower, apply makeup, style hair. Throw on wrinkled clothes. If kid is not up, do not wake him.
Go to shopping mall. Not in pyjamas.
Stroll slowly through supermarket.
Visit florist, swoon over flowers, buy flowers. Smile.
Pick up Japanese lunch for husband and I. Smile.
Go home.
Unpack shopping, fill pantry and fridge. Smile.
Cook. Spend quality time with my boys. Smile.
Spend the evening however I please, with my boys...

Smiling.

  9. Hi Peggy, I too adore Saturdays. I was in my PJ's til 12.45 yesterday and I only got out of them to go out! I think the week should have 2 Saturdays in it. Work/life balance would be more achievable that way! xx

  10. Cass, I love all-day-pj days! I did see a woman walking around the mall in her pj bottoms, I was judging, but mostly out of envy! haha

2 Saturdays, now you're talking! xo

    1. Saturdays are THE BEST! I love Sunday too but Monday morning is always on my mind (although I try not to let it take over the day).

I love Livanto, Volluto, Arpeggio and the limited edition Cherry flavour is my absolute favourite! Nespresso is wonderful isn't it Lisa?! xo

    1. And you have another 2 weeks of daily Saturdays Sonia, lucky duck! Actually flowers on a Friday would be better, kicking off the weekend early and an extra day to ogle them. :)
