School's out!

I get terribly excited over school holidays, when I am taking leave that is. As you know I work full time, so for me to have a break over the school holidays, the entire two weeks + one day, is a luxury. I love that I get to spend every single day, morning to night, with my Little Man. No agenda. No rush. No plans.
Although officially I make no plans I am full of intention. Clean windows, scrub venetians, wash floor rugs, tidy up back yard. Sounds like hard work but this will all be done when I very well feel like it with ample coffee breaks in between, at a very leisurely pace. We might make it to the Royal Show, if we feel like it. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll walk the dog every day. A visit or two to see the cousins will be high on the list and apparently catching up on reading is a novel (mind the pun) way to spend one’s holidays. Throw in some knitting and some baking. And I will definitely be spending quality time reacquainting myself with my pyjamas and getting to know my new camera.
Going back to work may prove quite difficult.

How will you be spending the school holidays?

  2. Hooray for holidays.
    22 hours and counting!!
I love the (semi) break from routine, and particularly, having Hubby home - which he will be for the second week.
We have catching up with friends and camping on the agenda these hols.
I should probably take a leaf out of your book and tackle a couple of the 'holiday jobs' too. At holiday pace.
    Enjoy it all.
    :-)

  3. Well I did get some ideas from you Sonia. :) I'm really looking forward to it. xo

@ Shar, 20 hours! Your plans sound great. Don't burden yourself with the thought of 'holiday jobs', they'll be there next time around. I have only promised myself to do those jobs as I have not cleaned my windows for awhile, ie years. I know I will be loving spring a whole lot more when I can actually see out of my windows!

Enjoy lovely, see you around these parts all chilled and in holiday mode. :)
