Monday Musings - Summer Holiday Love

As my lovely two week vacation draws to an end I reflect on the fun that we had. Two weeks of no alarm, late nights, sleep-ins, no makeup, beach, lots of cooking, endless Instagram and twitter banter, writing, reading, slothing, movie viewing, eating (but slow sit-at-the-table eating), long drawn out breakfasts, BBQs, fish and chips picnics, ice-cream by the beach, Nespresso - LOTS of Nespresso, late night Nespresso (oh how I will miss this), lengthy chats without time restriction and no agenda.

The simple things...

Holidays, it's been fun. Until next time...

  4. Oh how I miss slow sit-at-the-table eating. Family mealtimes are anything but slow with a 1-year-old who throws food on the floor and an almost 4-year-old who gobbles his food and wants to get down from the table before I've even sat down. Good food, good wine and good conversation all drawn out. Beautiful. Sounds like you had a great time.

  5. Shah, that's the best way to describe it. Aaaaahhhhh... enjoy the rest of your break. :)

Thank you Kaisla, the boys say hi! Don't you miss Cottesloe? Might be time for another visit from you again one summer. xo

Veronica, enjoy another blissful 2 weeks. I am still on my holiday high, still very much relaxed. Have you tried the cherry flavoured Nespresso? YUM! :)

Vanessa, slow sit-at-the-table eating is lovely! Getting the littlies to feel the same and enjoy it like we do is another thing! Hope you get to enjoy it again someday soon. :)

  9. Thank you Jules. I know you and I share the same thoughts on summer and the beach. My holiday was just that, as you said, sun, water and icecream. I sure did enjoy it. xo
